Topic: Mines

I think several players have noticed this. I've been told this by several people. After 1:xxx goes off and attacks 1:xxx they will only cap 1000 mines per battle tick. The person being attacked loses no mines. Instead the mines that they gain do not appear to be taken away from the defender. Is there a reason behind this?

Re: Mines

Could you elaborate? 1:xxx attacks 1:xxx???

Re: Mines

okay.. lets say that 1:2 attacks 1:3 and 1:3 has 5000 mines..

You send 10k barges and 99999 troops with you.  After you cap 3k mines total for those 3 battle ticks and your ships come home. If you re-scan 1:3 it will say that he has 5k mines left.  However if this might be how the game is played out. I attacked someone with 8000 mines, took 3000 from him.  I then rescanned him and he still had the 8000 mines. Therefore no matter how many mines someone gains.. They can't lose any of them?

Re: Mines

You can cap mines, but no one can lose mines. Basicly creating unlimited mines.

Its a severe game ruiining bug. Before this bug was reported here, messages have been send to 1:1 adressing this issue.

Re: Mines

Jacq, if you want an actual example, I have one here.

Ruler: Dark Jony

Planet: Orzo

SHC 1606
Location: 1:274
Number of Ore Mines: 5,000
Number of Uranium Mines: 5,000

GAINED RESOURCES SHC: 1606
You gained 3999600 Ore, 1000 Ore mines, 3999600 Uranium and 1000 Uranium mines from your attack on 1:274.

I scanned him at UT 19:45 and the first battle tick was the previous half hour.

Hopefully this helps and I figured since he's inactive, coords wouldn't matter much.

Re: Mines

I too have noticed this, which was not a problem in any games before .8h or .8i. Basically this allows for unlimited mine farming. I would attack a person say 1:214 (I just remember that number) and take 1200 mines from him (havoc round). As soon as my fleet would return and unload I would send them back out to 1:214 and take another 1200 mines from the same person, which if he has less then 5000 mines (which he must because I already took 1200 from him less the 24 hours ago, and I know hes inactive) means that either the mine counting code is messed up an forgetting to subtract mines from his total, or it resets his account each time. I noticed the same event occurred to me. I was attacked by a fleet over twice my size and though my entire fleet was destroyed and according to the loss totals sent by message I lost the better part of 10k mines, my total remained at 56999.

Round 0.8f: Cale of Fairlop   Rank: 49
Round 0.8f Havic: Cale Of Fairlop   Rank: 7
You know your good when you loose all your mines though a random event and still finish in the top 50.

Re: Mines

I'm not gonna lie, I kinda liked the mine bug.  Ended the round with over 222,000 mines of each type smile.

Re: Mines

I've briefly looked into this, which is why sign-ups for next round haven't opened up yet.  I'm testing on the actual game database.  So far I can't reproduce the problem.

I'm thinking it is a havoc problem.

Has anyone seen this happen in a regual round?

Re: Mines

Odin, we had 1.3mil/1.3mil mines in our alliance tongue

Postal, havent seen that happend in a normal round. Perhaps it is a havoc bug, but then again... .it IS a HAVOC round afterall isnt it ? wink

Re: Mines

Postal- There was no problem like this in the regular round. It only occured in Havoc
